چکیده
The thermal expansion coefficient (TEC) of binary glasses SiO 2 -TiO decreases as the TiO concentration grows. At in range 4-6 mol% (in dependence applied synthesis method) TEC becomes negative; at 8-11 devitrification occurs. A combination photoluminescence (PL) and IR reflection techniques were for studying evolution point structural defects from zero to phase separation. precision measurements density showed its drop content 7.9 thus evidencing conversion glass into a polycrystalline substance consisting crystallites. In compatibility oxides, an ensemble comprises =SiO-Si= =Ti-O - centers well =Si-Si= =Si-Ti= neutral oxygen-vacancies. dopant specific separation (TiO mol%), PL-active groups go away, while IR-detectable Si-O-Ti bridges remain stable. Toward the Ultimate Limit of Phase Change in Ge2Sb2Te5
The limit to which the phase change memory material Ge2Sb2Te5 can be scaled toward the smallest possible memory cell is investigated using structural and optical methodologies. The encapsulation material surrounding the Ge2Sb2Te5 has an increasingly dominant effect on the material’s ability to change phase, and a profound increase in the crystallization temperature is observed when the Ge2Sb2Te...
متن کاملMelting of Forsterite, Mg2SiO4, From 9.7 to 16.5 GPa
A multianvil apparatus ha been used to determine th pressure-temperature mel ing curve of forsterite from 9.7 to 16.5 GPa. At 10.1 GPa a singular point occurs that marks the change from congruent melting at lower pressures to incongruent melting (forsterite periclase + liquid) at higher pressures. The melting curve also passes through two invariant points. At one (15.6 GPa, 2310øC), the phases ...

متن کاملSynthesis and Characterization of Monodisperse Metallodielectric SiO2@Pt@SiO2 Core–Shell–Shell Particles
Metallodielectric nanostructured core−shell− shell particles are particularly desirable for enabling novel types of optical components, including narrow-band absorbers, narrow-band photodetectors, and thermal emitters, as well as new types of sensors and catalysts. Here, we present a facile approach for the preparation of submicron SiO2@Pt@SiO2 core−shell−shell particles. As shown by transmissi...

We have monitored the phase transformation from a Sandia octahedral molecular sieve Na2Nb2O6−H2O to a piezoelectric NaNbO3 nanowire through in situ X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) measurements at high temperatures. After dehydration at 288 °C, the Na2Nb2O6−H2O becomes significantly destabilized and transforms into NaNbO3 with the increase of time. The phase tr...
